Hi! I’m Betsy, founder of VK Consulting! I started this company after almost 17 years in corporate Human Resources, where I was lucky enough to have my hands in nearly every pot of the various HR and people functions, and got to work with some incredibly cool people along the way. I learned a lot during those years, both what works well and what doesn’t, in the people-functions of the organization. I also came to understand the high importance of HR proactively being a strategic business partner in an organization, and not an after thought.

VK Consulting began most importantly out of my passion and love for helping others. And as I began, it became incredibly clear to me that having an HR partner and leader who can work with you strategically AND tactically, was not something easy for clients to find. And so, my business model quickly became clear to me- a trusted HR leader who is comfortable and well-versed in various facets of strategy, culture and leadership, and also understands and is willing to role up her sleeves and do the work.

Since starting VK Consulting in 2019, I have been fortunate to be involved in so many areas of the people functions, including such things as building the HR function and department from the ground up for start ups and small companies, providing 1x1 leadership and executive coaching, helping clients create and rollout meaningful leadership, onboarding and culture-related programs, assisting with HR systems and processes, and helping ensure companies are compliant. And many other fun (to me!) things in-between.

I truly believe in being a partner to clients, getting to know their business, people, and culture, and through doing so, having the privilege of seeing their people, teams and business thrive and grow.
